Pink waffles

These bright pink waffles are made with beets, no food dye involved! An amazing and nutricious breakfast for kids and adults.

Ingredients
  

  • 5 oz beetroot (pre-cooked)
  • 1 banana
  • 0.85 cup milk (plant based)
  • 2.5 oz buckwheat flour
  • 2.5 oz regular flour

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat the waffle maker to make sure it's nice and hot.
  • Put all ingredients in a blender and give it a good whizz to make sure the batter is nice and smooth.
  • Lightly grease the waffle maker with some plant based oil and fill up the waffle maker with the pink batter. Make sure you don't put too much in, it will drip down the sides of the waffle maker.
  • Cook the pink waffles according to the instructions of the waffle maker, about 4 minutes should normally be enough.
  • Server the waffles with the toppings of your choice, or serve them plain.
