About me

Hi, nice to see you here! I'm Sandra, 38, and I live with my husband, two kids, and a cat in a small village in the Netherlands. I spend a lot of hours in the kitchen trying out new recipes, and my favorite recipes are shared here, with you!

Sandra - owner of From Sandra's Kitchen

I have loved good food and cooking for as long as I can remember. When I was little, my father and I would whip up a three-course dinner for the family a few times a year. With my mother, I loved to bake cookies and cakes (and, of course, lick the batter bowl. I still do, by the way).

When I moved out on my own, I just started to enjoy cooking more, and the love stayed! These days, I tend to leave packets and sachets aside and prefer to cook with fresh produce, preferably ingredients that are currently in season (hello, lovage pesto!).

Being from the Netherlands, of course you'll find some Dutch recipes on my blog, like Boerenjongens and Dutch Pea Soup. Prefer the American cuisine? I've got your back! I'm sure you'll love these Spicy Corn on the Cob, or this Maple Glazed Pumpkin.

In my recipes, I post tips on how to store the dish or give it a second life the next day. I also give you tips on how to incorporate leftovers that you already had into the recipe.
