Why You'll Love This Recipe

  • Quick & easy - Ready in just 10 minutes!
  • High in protein - Eggs and smoked salmon make this incredibly satisfying.
  • Perfect for meal prep - Make the omelette ahead and assemble later.

Ingredients

Here's what you'll need to make this smoked salmon omelette:

  • Eggs - The base of your omelette wrap. I recommend using pasture-raised or free-range eggs for the best flavor and color.
  • Smoked Salmon - Choose high-quality cold-smoked salmon. It adds richness, umami, and a bit of saltiness.
  • Fresh Herbs (Mint & Chives) - These add brightness and a fresh herbal note. You can also try dill or parsley for variation.
  • Herb Cream Cheese or Tzatziki - This adds creaminess and a tangy contrast to the smoky salmon. It also helps hold the wrap together.
  • Greens - Baby spinach, arugula, or lamb's lettuce add crunch and nutrition.
  • Salt & Pepper - Essential for seasoning your eggs.

Optional add-ins - Thin slices of cucumber, grated carrot, or radish for extra crunch and freshness.

How to Prepare Smoked Salmon Omelette

  1. Make the Omelette
Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk with chopped mint, chives, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook the Omelette
Heat a little oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and cook on both sides until set. Let it cool slightly.
  3. Assemble the Wrap
Spread the cooled omelette with herb cream cheese or tzatziki. Lay the smoked salmon on top, followed by your greens.
  4. Roll & Serve
Roll the omelette up tightly like a wrap. Slice in half and serve immediately-or wrap it up for later.

Meal prep tip:

If you're making this for meal prep, cook the omelette ahead and store it separately. Assemble with toppings just before serving.

How to Store Smoked Salmon Omelette

  • Fridge: Store the cooked omelette (without toppings) in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Add the toppings just before eating.
  • On the go: Assemble the full wrap in the morning, wrap it tightly in beeswax wraps, foil or parchment paper, and take it with you. Keep chilled until ready to eat.
  • Leftovers: Not eating it all at once? Store the leftover wrap in the fridge and enjoy it later the same day for best freshness.
